General Assembly
The General Assembly serves as a vital platform for members to convene, collaborate, and collectively shape the organization’s direction and activities, fostering inclusivity and decision-making in pursuit of its objectives.
As WA-SDT’s supreme governing body, the General Assembly brings together the association’s membership at least once a year to review progress, discuss strategic priorities, and chart the course for the year ahead. Beyond this ordinary annual meeting, an Extraordinary General Assembly may be convened whenever a significant share of the membership, or the Executive Committee itself, determines that pressing matters warrant immediate attention.
Each General Assembly elects the members of the Executive Committee, is briefed on WA-SDT’s activities, strategic orientation, and annual programme, and — should the need ever arise — holds the sole authority to decide on the association’s dissolution. Decisions are taken by open vote, giving active and honorary members a direct and transparent voice in shaping the association’s governance.
By convening members from WA-SDT’s diverse, international community, the General Assembly embodies the association’s commitment to participatory governance, cross-border collaboration, and shared ownership of its mission to advance sustainable digital transformation worldwide.
